Another real search today! Took us about an hour to get there, an hour to start, and a whole five minutes to find what we were looking for... Everyone was great today, and I was lucky enough to be paired with the handler that made the find. Very cool stuff!
Also, we've moved out of the country, which is why I've not been able to update lately. The girls have taken to city life just fine, though they do miss having a yard of their own. One good thing is that we live right behind a fire station! Tempie and I will start training with them next week. Everyone seems very nice, but we've only met about half of them so far. We will also be making more trips to stores and whatnot to keep working on Tempie's fear of slick floors. I'm determined to get her over this! It's been the one major problem we've faced with her training. She completely freezes when she encounters slick floors. I'm sure we'll get past it, though. Slowly but surely.
Awesome! Great job on your find! And how exciting to be in a new place...
ReplyDeleteSo the first read of "we've moved out of the country" had me gasping in shock and disbelief. "Why, Jessica, WHY would you leave the USA???!!!" And then you mentioned the city and I realized you meant you'd left the Texas-type country for the urban city stuff. Got it. I'm so smart.
