Trip to New Orleans

Our SAR team went to New Orleans for a seminar, and Tempie was fantastic! She had me a little worried, I'll admit. Her first run out there was awful. But she turned right around and worked wonderfully for me. She even alerted in a small, unsteady boat in a pond with an alligator that I'm pretty sure would have swallowed Tempie whole given the chance. Tempie had never done any water work before, and keep in mind Tempie has only been training for 3-4 months! I didn't have much time for training today, so I just did something quick and somewhat easy. I haven't been hanging the source enough, so I thought I would try that. She didn't have any trouble with it, though!

  4. We are so impressed! Gracie started SAR training when she was a pup (many years ago) and got to ride on the airplane in a seat next to Dad many times. She loved the attention! But her Brother Jake didn't have the right personality for SAR and she didn't want to do it without him. So, she is especially impressed with your work! The rest of us are glad we don't have to work that hard for our treats!
